Dear friends of HOFBURG Vienna,

The HOFBURG Vienna state rooms have always set the scene for major celebrations and gatherings with star-studded guest lists. And events in 2025 will revolve around a major musical milestone: the celebrations to mark the 200th anniversary of Johann Strauss II’s birth. Known as the Waltz King, he worked as the Director of Music for the Imperial and Royal Court Balls at the Hofburg state rooms – where his legacy will get the Hofburg ball season off to a swinging start in 2025.

HOFBURG Vienna is an international meeting place that will host more than 300 events in 2025, with numerous interesting topics in the spotlight: from the German/Austrian AIDS Congress in March and the 9th OPEC International Seminar, to various promising exhibitions. The changing economic, political and social environment – as well as rapid advances in technology – are constantly presenting the international congress and event centre with fresh challenges. But at the same time, they bring plenty of potential for development. A clear focus on diversity and our “Experience HOFBURG Vienna” spirit is designed to create special personal moments that our participants will remember for years to come.
