Prominente vor der Kamera zu haben ist für Fotografen, die bei Veranstal- tungen in der HOFBURG Vienna arbei- ten, an der Tagesordnung. Dementsprechend geschult sind sie im Umgang mit den Gästen. Die Bilder entstehen praktisch unbemerkt. Umso größer ist oft die Freude und die Überraschung, wenn sich die Gäste beim Flanieren in der Fotomeile wie- derfinden. „Eigentlich möchte jeder fotografiert werden“, sagt der Fotograf Michael Ratz von Foto Sulzer. Allerdings ist das Fingerspitzengefühl des Fotografen gefragt. Für die Fotografen heißt das, stets ein Lächeln bereitzuhalten, dem Gast zu zeigen, dass er in diesem Moment der wichtigste Mensch auf Erden ist. Die Kunst ist es, im richtigen Moment am richtigen Ort zu sein, weiß Andreas Barylli von Foto Fayer, der eine Vielzahl der Bälle in der Hofburg betreut: Wenn die Gäste durch das Foyer schreiten und sich in edlen Roben auf dem roten Teppich präsentieren, wenn Gäste die prunkvollen Räume und die Dekora- tionen bewundern, wenn sich Größen aus Politik, Kunst und Gesellschaft die Hände schütteln. n Working with the famous is all in a day’s work for the photographers who attend events at HOFBURG Vienna. They are given professional training for working with visitors. The result is pho- tographs that are taken almost unseen. That makes it a pleasant surprise for visitors when they find themselves smiling from the photographer’s dis- play board. “Everybody really wants to be photo- graphed,” says Michael Ratz from Foto Sulzer. But the job still has to be done with great sensitivity, and a good pho- tographer will always have a smile ready to show the visitor that, at that moment, he or she is the most impor- tant person in the whole world. For Andreas Barylli of Foto Fayer, who is in attendance at many of the balls held in the Hofburg, “the trick is to be in the right place at the right time” – when the people pass through the foyer making a fine impression in ele- gant attire on the red carpet, when they stop to admire the splendid interi- ors and the décor, when celebrities and leading figures in the world of poli- tics and the arts shake hands or kiss a cheek as the case may be.
