New management and sales team at Hofburg Vienna

Hofburg Vienna is setting the course for a successful future and announcing two key personnel decisions: with a new management team and a new head of sales and marketing, the international congress and event center is focusing on stability, customer proximity, and fresh ideas.

Mr. Armin Egger MBA took over as managing director of Hofburg Vienna in September. The experienced manager brings extensive international experience in the MICE business to the table and is relying on the proven Hofburg Vienna team. With a wealth of expertise and commitment, he will continue to expand Hofburg Vienna's position as one of Europe's premier venues.

At the same time, Barbara Riedl, MSc. ppa., is taking over as Head of Sales & Marketing. With her in-depth industry experience and a clear focus on customer relations and market development, she will strengthen sales activities and tap into new market potential. Together with the team, both are committed to the future-oriented development of Hofburg Vienna.

The strategic focus continues to be on international congresses, conferences, and national and international banquets and gala events for 250 people or more. “This will enable us to further expand our existing portfolio in the coming years,” says the management. In the future, individual event concepts will be developed and implemented even more closely with customers—true to the motto: The success of Hofburg Vienna is always also the success of its customers.
Another focus is on the integration of innovative technologies that will strengthen competitiveness in the international event market in the long term.

Upcoming event highlights

TEDAI Vienna brings together the brightest minds in the global AI scene at the Hofburg Vienna. From September 25-26, 2025, the ballrooms will become the hub of global AI dialogue. The concentrated world of design will be presented at Design District, the trade fair for interior design, furniture, and lifestyle, from October 3-5, 2025.

The HR Inside Summit conference on October 8-9 will focus on humanity and AI, while science will take center stage at the Vienna Congress of Cardiology on October 16-18. The annual Global Peter Drucker Forum will take place in the ballrooms on November 6-7. The program is impressive in terms of content, but participants know that the central added value comes from the interactions and networking opportunities at the Hofburg Vienna.

Whether it's Art & Antique Hofburg Vienna from November 13-17, the ÖGDV Dermatology Conference from November 28-29, or company Christmas parties in December, the event location in the heart of Vienna is a popular meeting place.
