United by know-how tradition and progress
The Hofburg Vienna management team stands out for its expertise. Which is just one of the reasons why it has been entrusted with operating the Hofburg Redoutensaele as an additional venue for 25 years now.
After a fire in 1992, a five-year restoration project transformed these state rooms into one the citys most breathtaking locations. Here, history and the present day go hand in hand. The Grosser Redoutensaal which provided the setting for Mozart operas, the premiere of Beethovens 8th symphony, performances by Franz Liszt and Josef Strauss and a summit between US president John F. Kennedy and the premier of the USSR Nikita Khrushchev continues to make a striking impression thanks to Josef Mikls stunning paintings.
Between 2017 and 2023, the Hofburg Redoutensaele will continue to provide a home from home for the Austrian Parliament before returning to their previous role as an out-of-the ordinary backdrop for captivating events from 2023/24: They still exist, those fantastic locations! was how one of our international guests put it only a short time ago. We are all looking forward to hosting events in this unique historical setting, which comes with all the technical equipment needed to stage unforgettable events.
